Follow-Up Tracker

About this kit

This worker tracks important sent emails that still need a response. Each morning, it identifies messages containing a request, assigns a fair follow-up date using your rules or the contact’s typical response time, and keeps everything on a clear status board.

When a follow-up is due, it creates an unsent draft in the original thread. Replies automatically close the item or switch it to Your turn when action returns to you. It stops after two nudges, sends updates only when action is needed, and never sends messages, invents urgency, or contacts anyone without your approval.

How it works

Email

Reads what the owner sent and the threads it belongs to, so it can tell who still owes a reply and what was actually asked, and saves each nudge as an unsent reply in its own thread. The one address it sends to is the alert address given at install; there is no reply or forward path at all.

• Search emails: Finds the messages the owner sent inside the tracked window.
• View thread: Reads a thread to see who spoke last, what was asked and when.
• View email: Reads one message to quote the ask and cite the date it went out.
• Create reply draft: Saves the nudge as an unsent reply in the thread it belongs to, for the owner to send.
• Send email: Sends the by-exception digest to the owner's own alert address, the only recipient it is given.

Tasks

Keeps the waiting-on-others board: one item per thread awaiting a reply, due on the day a nudge becomes fair, moved to Your turn or Done when the other side answers. The board is also its memory of what it has already chased, which is what stops a second nudge going out as a first.

• View boards: Finds the board the ledger lives on.
• View items: Reads the open ledger items so a thread already tracked never gets a second one.
• View comments: Reads an item's comment history to see which nudges have already been saved.
• Create items: Files a new item when a thread starts waiting on someone.
• Update items: Moves an item between Waiting on them, Your turn and Done, and adjusts its due date and priority.
• Add comments: Appends what changed: a nudge saved, a reply landed, a window moved.
