About this kit
Turns one week of Shopify data into a growth report you can hand to the owner or the client.
- Reads the week's sales, acquisition and customer reports, plus the discounts set up
- Compares the week with the one before, using Shopify's own figures
- Says how many orders were unattributed, instead of implying full coverage
- Sessions and conversion rate appear only if your Shopify app grants report access
- Runs every 7 days from install; read-only, and never edits anything in the store
How it works
Shopify
Reads the store's derived reports - sales, acquisition and customers - for one week at a time, plus the list of discounts that are set up. Nothing else in the store is exposed to this worker, and Shopify access here is read-only: it cannot edit an order, a product, a customer or a discount.
- Read analytics: Runs the sales, acquisition and customer reports for the week with the week-over-week comparison, and the optional sessions query for traffic and conversion rate.
- Read discounts: Lists the discount codes and automatic discounts with their current status and whatever usage figures come back, so the report can say which promotions are running.
