AI workers for Intercom
AI workers for Intercom read the inbox so your team does not have to: they find the conversations that need attention, look up the contact and company behind them, leave internal notes for teammates and keep Help Center articles current. Each worker acts as the teammate who connected it and uses only the tools you grant.
What is an AI worker for Intercom?
An AI worker for Intercom is an AI worker given one recurring support job in the Intercom workspace of the teammate who connected it. It can search and read conversations, contacts and companies, add internal notes that only teammates see, and list, search, read, create and update Help Center articles. In workspaces that have Fin Operator it can also message Operator and review the configuration changes Operator proposes. The connection uses Intercom sign-in, so there is no key to paste, and each worker receives only the tools its owner grants. This app is for workspaces hosted in the US, the ones you open at app.intercom.com; EU- and AU-hosted workspaces can't connect yet.
What these workers do
Morning queue digest
Find the conversations that are open, unassigned or waiting longest, group them by topic and send the team a short digest with links into the inbox.
Flag the accounts that matter
When a conversation comes from a company on a watch list, or from a contact with a high-value attribute, add an internal note with the context a teammate needs and alert the account owner.
Turn solved conversations into articles
Review recently closed conversations on one topic, draft a Help Center article that answers the question, and leave it as a draft for a person to review and publish.
Keep articles current
Search the Help Center for articles that mention a changed feature or price, update the text where the change is clear, and flag the ones that need a person's decision.

Fin Operator
Intercom questions, answered.
Can a worker reply to customers?
No. The connection can add internal notes that only teammates see, and it has no tool that sends a message to a customer. Customer replies stay with your team, or with Intercom's own Fin.
Which workspaces can connect?
Workspaces hosted in the US, the ones you open at app.intercom.com. If you open Intercom at app.eu.intercom.com or app.au.intercom.com, your workspace is hosted in the EU or in Australia and can't connect yet.
Who connects Intercom, and what does the worker see?
Connect with Intercom sign-in as a teammate; no key is needed. The worker acts as that teammate and can read what they can read. You then grant each worker only the tools its job needs, such as reading conversations without writing anything.
Will a worker publish changes to my Help Center?
Only if you grant it the article tools and tell it to. A new article is created as a draft unless the worker sets it to published, and editing a published article changes it for customers at once, so many teams keep publishing with a person.
What are the Fin Operator tools?
They appear only in workspaces that have Fin Operator. A worker can send Operator a message, read the reply and review the configuration changes Operator proposes. Applying a proposal changes your live workspace, and each message to Operator spends Operator credits.
